from the for-what-it’s-worth department…

I recently learned that something good did indeed come from Rick Peterson’s and my involvement with Project Bamboo over the years.  If you know anything about the tool directory “Bamboo DiRT” (dirt.projectbamboo.org), now know that its developer pulled certain elements from our “Bamboo Exchange” which Rick and I presented in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2009.  Additionally, I have been informed that the “DHCommons” (dhcommons.org) “captures other aspects of the ‘Bamboo Exchange,’ including the ability for projects to post help requests, and for people to list their expertise, with the hope of matching people with projects.”

Digital Liberal Arts?

William Pannapacker suggests that using the term Digital Liberal Arts is a better bet for small colleges than the label Digital Humanities.  What do you think?
